The scholarship covers:
Full tuition fees
Hostel (accommodation) and cafeteria fees
Travel support (Rs. 20,000)
Basic living allowance (Rs. 2,000/month)
Miscellaneous (Rs. 20,000)

Applicants must:
Be members of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church
Demonstrate a calling to pastoral or theological teaching ministry
Meet admission requirements for Spicer Adventist University's MA Religious Studies program
Applicants must submit:
Recommendation Letter
Please provide a formal letter from a local Church Pastor, Elder, or Church Leader who can attest to your spiritual character, leadership potential, and commitment to the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Bachelor's Degree Certificate and Transcript
Submit an official copy of your diploma and a complete transcript of your academic records. This helps the committee evaluate your academic preparedness for further theological or leadership studies.
Baptismal or Membership Certificate
Provide proof of your church membership. This confirms your standing within the faith community that Pastor Thlenga so dearly loved and served.
Statement of Motivation
Write a personal essay (500–750 words) explaining why you are applying for this scholarship. Share your calling to ministry and how you plan to serve God and the church after graduation.
CV/Resume
Provide an up-to-date summary of your educational background, work experiences, and any volunteer or church-related ministry involvements you have participated in.
Two Referees
List the names and contact information (Email and Phone) of two individuals: one academic and one professional/spiritual who may be contacted by the committee to discuss your qualifications.
All documents in English
To ensure a fair review process by our international board, all documents must be submitted in English. Documents originally in other languages must be accompanied by English translation.
The Selection Committee
The board of directors appoints an independent selection committee annually. This committee is composed of educational leaders, and seasoned pastors who understand the unique needs of our mission.

Conflict of Interest Policy: Any committee member with a personal or familial connection to an applicant must formally declare it and recuse themselves from voting on that specific candidate.
Equitable Evaluation: Every document, from your baptismal certificate to your motivation statement, is weighed according to a standardized rubric based on merit, mission-fit, and financial need.
Interview: If the committee deems it necessary, it may organize an online interview session.
